A motorist is dead after getting in a rollover car accident Thursday on Interstate 96 and Greenfield in Detroit, Michigan State Police said.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) first reported a car crash on the local lanes of eastbound I-96 around 1 a.m., which closed down the freeway for several hours.
Later, MSP tweeted that troopers were called to the scene at 12:50 a.m. A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver had lost control of the vehicle, went up the embankment and rolled over.
